This was a gift for my father-in-law. I had got one for free during a public event, and I loved it. So I decided to give him one of these for his birthday!

Love this thing for the trimmer. It is waterproof and extremely effective in the shower. I trim my beard several times a week now without leaving hairs all over our bathroom sink (a real plus). I’m a die hard Gillette razor fan, so offering the trimmer was the ONLY way I was going to buy a Quattro (short of getting a free one).
I have to say that the razor part is underwhelming. I am not a fan of the vertical “glide wires” or whatever they are called. My beard isn’t that tough, but they immediately clog up for me and take a lot of rinsing in the shower to clean out. The Mach 3 and Fusion don’t get nearly as clogged up for me.
So, this trimmer sits in my shower for my beard trimming duties, but I use the razor only in a jam.
Kudos to Schick for coming up with a truly different product (not just more blades or a different strip). The trimmer in the shower is enough of an innovation for me to give it 5 stars despite the crappy razor.

I’ve been a Gillette user for years. I still like their Fusion razors. However, this nifty little device is great for the road. It does a decent job of shaving…well..better than decent. But the selling point is the fact that you have a good trimmer AND a razor in one portable unit. I bought this while I was on the road and realized I don’t have to carry a trimmer and a shaver anymore. The fact that the trimmer uses a regular AA battery makes it even more convenient. I wonder why Gillette hasn’t thought of this.

Let me preface this review by saying I have been using the Gillette Fusion prior to my purchase of this razor. The Schick Quattro Titanium was already at a disadvantage from the get-go with “only” 4 blades to Fusion’s 5. The extra blade really does make a noticeable difference. Still, 4 blades handily beats the 2 blades that used to be the norm any day!
The biggest design flaw by far is the release button for the blade attachment. A big button (w/an ergonomic touch) sits right where your pointer finger will rest to control the razor as you shave. It doesn’t take too much pressure for the blade attachment to come off. If you want that precision shave you’re going to press down in certain spots, which leads to the attachment coming off a couple times every time I shave.
If you use shaving cream, and who doesn’t, then good luck getting the trapped hairs out from between the blades. Rinsing under the water flow doesn’t do much. Tapping the razor in the sink only causes the blade attachment to repeatedly detach, quite easily. It really doesn’t take much of a tap at all for that attachment to come off. I have to use nose-hair trimmers between the blades to coax the hairs out. And even that is tedious since there are 7 thin metal wires running vertically across the set of blades. Extremely frustrating process.
On the plus side, despite its size it does feel good in your hands. The trimmer was the seller for me, and it does an okay job. I bought it to maintenance my goatee, and it takes a few swipes over the same area to get the job done.
I will keep this for the trimmer which is handy for goatee maintenance, but I’m going back to Gillette once the razor wears out.
